MEET JEREMY

Leadership and Dedication to Justice

Born and raised in Erie, Jeremy has served as a prosecutor at the District Attorney's Office since 2014 and is currently the Chief Deputy District Attorney for the Trial Division. He oversees prosecutions of homicides, shootings, violent crimes, gun cases, and gang cases, while maintaining a full prosecutor case load. He has been involved with Treatment Court and Veterans Court programs since 2016, handling over 100 trials, 30 homicide cases, and 400 shooting cases. Jeremy spends every day in the courtroom ensuring community safety, supporting police work, and upholding justice for all.

Jeremy graduated from Fairview High School in 2003 after attending St. George grade school and Mercyhurst Prep. He earned his undergraduate degree from Bloomsburg University, where he was an all-conference strong safety for their Division II football team, and his Juris Doctorate from the University of Illinois.

Returning to Erie, he began his legal career as a law clerk for (Ret.) Judge Shad Connelly, assisting with hundreds of criminal and civil cases.

Hired as a Juvenile Prosecutor in 2014, Jeremy developed skills balancing the well-being of the accused, the needs of victims, and the protection of society. Transitioning to adult prosecution later that year, he has since handled thousands of cases, specializing in gang and gun crimes, treatment court cases, prison violence, and complex homicides. He takes pride in collaborating with law enforcement to ensure justice is served and guiding victims of domestic violence.

As Chief Deputy District Attorney, Jeremy serves as the primary contact for law enforcement on shootings and violent crimes in Erie County, assisting with investigations and trial strategies.

His work with local police has contributed to a significant reduction in violent crime, making the community safer. He also supervises trial strategies for all Assistant District Attorneys in the office.

Outside the courtroom, Jeremy serves on the boards of the Multicultural Community Resource Center and the Upper Room and has volunteered extensively at Fairview High School as a coach and announcer. He lives with his wife, Sarah, and son, Asher, in Erie's lower west bayfront neighborhood.
